My rating: 4 of 5 stars
ebook review : A critique of public policy and its impact on the lives of middle class and poor people. The book goes deeply into his political philosophy of democratic socialism. The ideas are not expressed with clichés or empty political rhetoric. The various societal disparities of his concerns are discussed. Much of his philosophy is similar to Catholic social justice precepts regarding the dignity of the worker and preferential treatment for the poor. The autobiography of his earlier political career is a training manual for the independent candidate running for a local office. The book also provides his economic governing philosophy and budget details to accomplish the goals of having a government that represents the average person. A book well worth reading.
