An investigate journalist review of the medical industry and its approach to treating chronic back pain. The book does an excellent job of reviewing the history and science research on back pain. It highlights the failures and patient exploitation for this chronic health problem. The author has a strong bias against the surgical interventions used for back pain. The book also highlights the various physical medicine/non surgery interventions that can successfully treat low back pain.
