A college seminar for self guidance on a classical education. The essays in each chapter before the book recommendations are very well done. The author discusses the concepts of grammar, logic, and rhetoric as it applies to critical evaluation of a book. Also, the book shares the history and styles of various time periods of the authors. This book would be an excellent gift to a high school or college student. The avid reader will appreciate the content and guidance for self reading recommended in this book. This book belongs in your personal library.
