My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Excellent writing on science and public health. The author shares the personal challenges and sacrifices of leadership during major health crises. It is also an excellent review of the challenges of HIV, Ebola, MERS, and COVID-19. The sharing of stories of the political figures during his time of service helps one to have a deeper appreciation of the myriad of issues not covered in mainstream media.
Physicians who began practicing from the 1970s onward will enjoy this book. It is a good choice for a nonfiction book club science selection.
