My rating: 4 of 5 stars

How can America create an environment that has good health outcomes for all its citizens? The book analyzes social and political constructs that causes health inequalities. It introduces research ranging from genetics and pathophysiology to institutional practices that can lead to morbidity and early deaths for marginalized citizens. The book is a good introduction to the concepts of health inequalities and offers ideas for improvement in life quality measures. It has an excellent overview of the biopsychosocial analysis of health issues. It is a good book for health care providers and concerned community leaders who want to improve the local community.
