The purpose of an education is to develop the creative intellect of a person. The book is a good exposition on the benefits of a liberal arts education. The exposure to various disciplines helps to develop the global citizen that can adapt to the constant cultural, political, and economic changes during a lifetime. The lifetime skill set of self education, excellent writing and communication skills to develop ideas, and awareness of other cultures is argued as the keys to a successful career and life.
