My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A collection of thought provoking essays on what it means to live as an African American in the early 21st century. Following the lead of James Baldwin's essays ("The Fire Next Time"), the contributing essayists delve deeply into issues: Black Lives Matter, the parental talk to black children, freedom of movement, the police state, racism and identity politics, etc. A good book to share with other persons who want to understand the anger and fear of people of color.
