Insights into the world of real estate finance and development in New York City during the 1970's and 1980's. He gives his personal philosophy on the skills of negotiation. The book is not about the management of the company. It gives insights into the advantages of a privately held company as compared to a publicly traded company with shareholder politics. A highly skilled salesman/pitchman who leaves the management of the company to other experts. He also discusses the importance of favorable tax forgiveness by governmental entities. and having risk financed by others to maximize profits. The book does not discuss his financial support during his first 5-10 years while building the company (Trump family trust?).
