To what degree of barbarism will well educated elites devolve in order to support the goals of the state? This book is an eyewitness account of the Nuremberg trials of the Nazi doctor who committed horrendous experiments in the name of science and the state. The author at age 22 was a court reporter for the trials of of the medical professionals who dehumanized and brutalized those deemed as worthless to the Reich and humanity. It serves as a warning to the future of how political views and a cooperative or passive citizenry can help create an environment that makes unthinkable atrocities occur. This a good read for the 21st century and its conflicts on the topics diversity, immigration, and genocide.
